Ron Olch. Ron Olch is a systems engineer providing Research and Development for the UFO Data Acquisition Project (UFODAP). UFODAP is a new civilian based initiative to employ accurate high-tech data gathering of UFO incidents.  The UFODAP objective is to enable UAP/UFO research by development, deployment and use of advanced data collection equipment to enable the scientific analysis of collected data. With few exceptions, prior to UFODAP, the collection of UFO/UAP data has been an after-the-fact process where the reliability and history of such data cannot usually be evaluated objectively and the provenance of witness reports and photos or videos is questionable.  Systems with significant ability to collect multiple, simultaneous forms of data including optical, electromagnetic and gravitational as well as triangulate object location did not exist or were very expensive, one-off and location-specific.  UFODAP systems were designed to address this need with very scalable, low-cost, software and systems that could be widely deployed and operated autonomously and continuously, locally or remotely, in all weather conditions.  UFODAP is working in collaboration with UFODATA (ufodata.net) and the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (explorescu.org) toward the analysis and publication of research based on collected data. UFODAP devices can recognize, track and record anomalous objects while simultaneously collecting data from multiple sensors.  This data can later be reliably and accurately evaluated systematically to provide high level scientific results.  To date, individuals at about 20 domestic and international sites have obtained UFODAP software or systems and are in process of initial installation.  In 2016, Ron Olch joined forces with Chris O’Brien and Wayne Hollenbeck bringing his skills and extensive background as a mechanical, electrical and software design engineer to the development of the UFO Data Project.  Their concept was to design a low-cost optical tracking system that could be purchased by individuals enhancing the building and installation of these devices in numerous locations. What do they mean by “low-cost”?  Ideally a unit would cost perhaps $2500 or less. Components and complete systems are now available via the website ufodap.com for use in fixed and mobile installations of the Unidentified Flying Object Data Acquisition System (UFODAS). Ron has been a member of the IEEE Computer Society for 38 years.  Ron opened the first microcomputer store in West LA, and for many years served as a consultant for scientific applications of microcomputers. He has been employed by industry giants like Teledyne Controls (aerospace), Walt Disney Imagineering (theme parks) and AeroVironment, a company that developed drone technology. Ron retired in 2013 after a 30-year career in high tech engineering. He was named as an inventor in ten patents during his career designing, building and programming embedded electronic systems for various applications.

Alien abduction experiences don’t come more bizarre than Bruce Cornet’s 1981 event. Cornet was virtually taken by aliens in plain sight of his entire drilling crew, who watched the UAP hover over an adjacent field, saw him taken in a beam of light, found him missing and then saw him returned to his bunk in the Mud-logging Trailer about an hour later. “I have told ufologists about my abduction which happened before my entire drill crew on an October night in 1981 near Richmond, Virginia”. “But have not gotten the response that Travis Walton got”. “In my case, I wasn’t taken for five days and there was no involvement from the police, psychologists, a polygrapher, newspapers or even Phil Klass”. Cornet’s incident went virtually unnoticed and unreported. “My crew chose not to talk about what happened, and I could not remember details until I was regressed 14 years later”. “I was returned hypothermic, in great pain and injured, yet couldn’t believe my crew’s story. Actually, I didn’t believe what my crew had told me. I was gone for at least one to three hours, not five days.” “All I remembered was having a nightmare in the bunk and thinking that I had missed seeing the UFO“. This is Cornet’s account. It’s an alien abduction experience he had kept suppressed for more than a decade, until alien abductions were being reported on prime time television with the show The Intruders, based on the book, Missing Time, by Budd Hopkins and Dr. John Mack.

Tuesday May 17, 2022, 7:30 PM EST Zoom presentation with James Keenan Unravelling The Mysteries Of The Uinta Basin.  James Keenan is an author, lecturer, and field investigator. He has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara. His main curriculum was anthropology and archaeology, with a focus on Mesoamerican cultures. He has written eight, fictional novels that have science fiction or paranormal components to them. Prior to his writing, he had a career in law enforcement and private investigations that spanned over twenty years. James regularly travels the globe in search of information and evidence that can provide alternate answers about why we have lost so much of our distant human history. James has recently appeared on The History Channel series, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. Northeastern Utah is known for being a hotbed to paranormal events, cryptids, and UFO sightings. Some of the phenomena taking place has fascinated the general public for decades—yet most of what we know seems to be regurgitated information. Over the course of this presentation, I will share with you new details that will bring additional understanding to places such as Skinwalker and Blind Frog Ranch. We will expand our knowledge of the Uinta Basin and in the process, explain that what is occurring covers a larger geographic area than just the two celebrated ranches. Finally, we will cover the history that may help in shedding new light on why this area is truly one of the most unique and mysterious locations on our planet. If it starts to snow the library may close their facility canceling our program. Please remember to check our web site for updates, your email box for updates, or call the library directly at 610-688-7092 to see if a snow cancelation is planned. Remember to ask only if the library plans to close or stay open due to snow, not if our MLM program in cancelled. If the library plans to stay open the program will be held as scheduled. Since the library does not schedule our speakers or films directly they will not be able to answer questions about our planned programs.
